U15 Curling

U15 Curling is a great way for young curlers to Engage in the sport and to build their skills at the same time. Our U15 Program features two 90-minute on-ice practice sessions per week.

This program is aimed at curlers with a desire to be competitive at the U15 level and beyond. U15 curlers must be 12 to 14 years of age as of Curling Alberta’s December 31st, 2024 cut-off date (i.e., born January 1, 2010 or later). All U15 curlers are also expected to play on a team in the EYCA League, understanding that we will facilitate team formation as needed.

This program runs from October to March. All training takes place at the Saville Community Sports Centre, which is the home to Curling Canada’s National Training and Development Centre.

Understanding that it must be booked in advance, U15 practice ice is available most Fridays @ 4:00 pm. All U15 curlers will receive a Golden Bears and Pandas Curling hoodie or pullover.

The curriculum for U15 Curling has been developed in close consultation with the Head Coach of Golden Bears and Pandas Curling, and is consistent with the guidelines of Curling Canada’s official Long-Term Curler Development (LTCD) Model
