These classes are designed for those wanting to learn more about breath work, whether you are looking for a more meditative or active approach. For athletes or office workers, these classes will allow you to become stronger in your cardiovascular capacity, increase stamina, live a healthier life and handle stress more efficiently.

Mind/Body Mix

Each week you will experience a different format with a different instructor, satisfying your mind-body needs while getting to know some of the personalities that deliver CCR Fitness!! This Mind/Body Mix is subsidized by the Athletic and Recreation fee and only University of Alberta Students are eligible to register. An individual that participates in all 5 Mind Body Mix classes will be receive 50% off towards any one Fitness, Mind / Body (Yoga, Pilates, Meditation), Dance or Martial Arts program offered by Campus and Community Recreation.


Pilates is a format that teaches you how to connect with your most ideal movements and muscle sequences to achieve a healthier and happier anatomy. Pilates promises to improve your posture and athletic performance, decrease pain and everything in between.

United Yoga Pilates

Experience the best of Vinyasa inspired yoga and mat Pilates in one fluid class. Develop strength, flexibility, proper range of motion and core stability by linking poses together to the gentle rhythm of your breath.


Commit to yourself to the path of yoga to connect your mind to your body through the style that calls most loudly to you. Postures are practiced with attention to the physical and mental experience while in the poses. Ideal for developing self-awareness, calming the mind and counteracting stress. Suitable for yogis of all abilities and experience levels.
