Activities & Locations Drop-In


Reserve a court time or view the drop in schedule for the various drop in activites occurring at the Van Vliet Complex.

Aquatic Registered Programs


Experience our aquatic programs for all ages and levels including Lifesaving Society’s learn-to-swim lessons, lifeguarding and instructor certifications, and various aquatic fitness classes.

Climbing Registered Programs


Our programs cater to people of all climbing abilities from novice to high-performance athletes. We are driven by a passion for climbing and a commitment to promoting the benefits of climbing as a lifestyle.

Club Sports


Club Sports supports its student groups to deliver physical activity programming to their members, which includes competitive and recreational sport, dance, martial arts, swim, outdoors, etc.

Come join us at the Saville Community Centre for some on-ice fun! Whether you're 8 or 80, brand new or advanced, we have a program or league for you.

Dance


Whether you're a beginner or an advanced dancer, our numerous dance programs will allow you to find a healthy way to reduce stress, exercise and have fun.

Firefighter Physical Aptitude Evaluation


Reserve the day and time for for your physical aptitude test.

First Aid & CPR


Check out the variety of Lifesaving Standard First Aid and CPR courses offered to all University of Alberta students, staff, and general public.

Fitness


Choose from a wide variety of programs such as TRX™, Spin, Zumba®, Pilates, Yoga and more. There is a format and an instructor for everybody.

Purchase a membership to use at the Saville Community Sports Centre Fitness Centre.

Intramural Sports


Intramural Sports are an opportunity to play with friends in an environment that celebrates teamwork, mutual respect, and fun! Get a team together or sign up as a free agent in one of our many leagues and tournaments.

KSR Instructional Fees


Instructional Fees assigned by a Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation Academic Course.

Leisure and Crafts


Focus on your social and mental wellness with these hands-on courses and workshops. These programs are a great opportunity to test your creativity and skills.

Martial Arts


Try one of our numerous martial arts programs for self-defense, physical health and fitness, and spiritual development. Suitable for all experience levels.

Physical Activity for Wellness Series


This program aims to build social relationships, tackle issues relevant to international students, and guide students through a variety of physical activities offered at the UofA.

RecCrawl


Enjoy free recreation trial classes from September 6 to 9. Open to students, staff and community members.

Sport Skills


Learn a new sport or work on a sport in which you have participated in the past. Our programs offer a fun and educational experience for all ability levels in sports such as fencing, ice skating and squash.

The Steadward Centre


The Steadward Centre is an expert in Adapted Physical Activity and Parasport development. Explore the various programs offered for children and adults experiencing disabilities. For more information about what our centre offers, please visit our website.

Tennis


We offer adult and junior lessons for the beginner to advanced player. Come try our sessions out to learn the sport or refine your skills.

U of A Parking


Evening Parking Permits: An evening parking permit shall entitle the registered motor vehicle to be parked in non-restricted lots after 4:30 pm to 7:00 am and all day on weekends and statutory holidays. Cost is $69.80/semester.

Virtual Services


Campus & Community Recreation encourages everyone to focus on staying physically active and mentally well while adjusting to our new remote routines and physical distancing. To help everyone stay active, we now offer Virtual Services along with our in-person programs.
