Recreational Sports - HandbookCampus and Community Recreation at the University of Alberta strives to provide awareness of risks associated with each program/activity it offers. It should be understood that there are risks associated with participation in our programs/activities and that they're inherent to each specific activity. These risks include but are not limited to, the loss of personal property, the possibility of personal injury and physical injury to others such as muscle strains, broken bones, concussions, soft tissue damage, infectious diseases, cardiac arrest, etc. including the possible risk of severe or fatal injury.
It is each individual's responsibility to ascertain whether they have any health conditions which make it inadvisable to participate in that activity. We strongly recommend an annual physical exam prior to the start of any program or activity, and that additional information is sought any time a person's health status changes. Such actions are designed to ensure that participation is within one's health status/limitations. It should also be understood that the individual is responsible for any medical treatment costs which may occur as a result of participation.
The University of Alberta is committed to providing our staff, students and visitors with websites that respect their privacy. This page summarizes the privacy policy and practices for all University of Alberta websites. University of Alberta websites do not automatically gather any personal information from you, such as your name, phone number or email address.

The University of Alberta uses Google Analytics to gather statistics on portions of its web site. UAlberta will use the information gathered to improve digital services for its patrons.

Google Analytics uses only first-party cookies for data analysis.
